In La Paz, Honduras, the poor have no access to clean drinking water, adequate housing, or even sanitary bathrooms. The result is disease, poor hygiene, and death. Where people are living without basics needs like clean water, every day is simply survival. Together we can change that.

In Honduras many families live in shacks made of stickers, tarps, and items scavenged from junkyards. Our pets live better. You can provide a family with a brand-new house with doors, windows, a concrete floor, and a roof.

One Well for One Community
In La Paz, Honduras water is available only every 8-10. Families use the same polluted rivers for drinking water, washing clothes, and personal sanitation. The health impact is catastrophic. One well completely transforms an entire community, providing every home with clean, disease free water every single day.

Disease-free Water
Contaminated drinking water is at crisis levels in La Paz. Children miss school adults miss work, further driving people into poverty. One ceramic water filter will provide a family clean water for 5 years!

Pour Flush Latrines
Many neighborhoods have no water. Instead entire families rely on poorly constructed outhouses and/or open defecation. The result is disease, severe illness, and a toxic environment for children. The solution is our “pour flush latrine”, which will serve a family of 5 for 10 years!

Invest in Education
45% of Honduras students drop out after 6th grade. This number is worse in rural areas like La Paz. Education is the key to ending generational poverty and HCP is leading the way with our High School Program. Our fully accredited high school has graduated 100+ students with another 100 students currently enrolled. Most are young women in their 20s. Upon graduation they receive a high school diploma that makes them eligible for university.
